Outside the box

The Lyric, Granity. Strings and staves, straight and slant lines, short and deep.

There are public toilets at the right (bathrooms being linked, in dreams, to the expression of emotion). Around half of the right side of the building is a sheer wall of shining corrugated iron, interrupted only by a wooden door, painted salmon pink, which looks as though it might be an emergency exit.

Early lyric poetry is associated with music (accompaniment on the lyre); the contemporary lyric poem is shortish, and voices perceptions, feelings, impressions… Still in use, and still being defined.

  1. Fantastic! Makes me want to re-visit Granity. Love the doors & windows.
